Rant. 1 and not 7

RANT! 1 AND NOT 7

Lack of update is due to extreme monotony. There's nothing much to rant or talk about when I'm doing the same things day in day out. Get up, rush for tuition, watch some videos on youtube and shop. How my day unfolds becomes almost like a ritual. It's sooooo "blah"...sooooo predictable. Actually, it's largely my fault. The lack of motivation to find something different to do. And I shouldn't complain 'cos I know this sure beats monotony and stress at work.


Both yesterday and today, I've been rudely awaken early in the morning by phonecalls from the same lady. RaR! Our conversation today went as such...


Call 1


Lady: Hello. Judy?
Me: *half asleep* Wrong number.

Call 2


Lady: Judy ah!
Me: *still determined not to get up* You've got the wrong number.
Lady: You're not Judy?
Me: No.

Call 3


Lady: Hello.
Me: *recognising her voice by now* You've got the wrong number. I'm not Judy.
Lady: No ah? Your number is XXXX-XXX1 right?
Me: Nope. You dialled wrongly lah.
Lady: But I really pressed the correct numbers leh. It's XXXX-XXX1
Me: Nope. You recited the right numbers but you dialled wrongly.
Lady: Ok. I try again

Call4


Lady: Hello?
Me: You really dialled wrongly. *fully awaken* RAR!!!
Lady: I'm correct. This is really your number?
Me: Yes. Please dial correctly! My number is XXXX-XXX7 and not XXXX-XXX1.
Lady: Oh. I really pressed the number '1' and not '7'.
Me: You try again
Lady: Ok! I'd put down now and try again you see ah.
Me: Ok.

And she never did call again. At least not today. This lady's a joker. She's been calling me for years. I swear. Always asking for Judy. Actually she's not the only one that's been asking for Judy. You can probably figure that the number of the Judy they are looking for differs from my number by one digit but then again...they can dial and dial several times the wrong number. I really suspect she just redialled althought she claimed she did not. RaR! What puzzles me is that '7' and '1' are not quite close together on the number pad. If I missed the number 1, I'd probably press the number 4 or something. Gee. That said, I'm gonna nap to catch up on lost sleep. "Good night!"
