I'm just done with this book. It's a simple read but it left me feeling a little touched and a little sad. It'd make you learn to appreciate the things around us that we often take for granted. Especially our parents. I tossed and turned in bed and couldn't get to sleep after reading something sad. Maybe that's why bedtime stories are always "Once upon a time...And they lived happily ever after." If you were to tell a really sad bedtime story, I don't think the kid will be fast asleep any time soon after that. Ha!
Here's a quote that pretty much sums it up... "But there's a story behind everything. How a picture got on a wall. How a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all your stories is always your mother's story, because hers is where yours begins. So this was my mother's story. And mine. I would like to make things right again with those I love."
